Developed by Tideland Signal Corporation and introduced in 1972, this solar module was designed to withstand severe marine requirements for navigation equipment. Solar modules allowed for the continuous use of offshore buoys, without recharging or refueling. It features two pieces of cast borosilicate glass, sealed using silicone adhesive. For enhanced corrosion resistance, the panel’s terminals are made of naval brass.
